Wale performs at Hunter College

Wale made his way over to Hunter College on Saturday and we caught some footage for you. Opening acts included Leon Young, who was just at the BET Music Matters Showcase, along with a few other talents and DJ J1 from ATL on the 1s and 2s. DC native took the crowd by storm performing hits such as “90210,” Lotus Flower Bomb,” “Slight Work” and many more other tracks off his old, recent and upcoming projects. The atmosphere was like no other as the crowd worded Wale’s every single word. It’s safe to say he left the students of Hunter pleased. Below are a few flicks from the scene. Newark, NJ – Courtesy of StylishlyGrown, the Robert Tree Hotel in Newark, NJ hosted a showcase in honor of Mother’s Day with a few opening acts for headliner Dawn Richards formerly of Dirty Money and Danity Kane. Solo artist Sky-lyn took the stage first, followed by trio group, Dakira Ave, which could be referred to the upcoming Destiny Child of Newark. Next off was Wakenna Rosado, who took the stage right before Dawn did.

In the meantime, the night was illuminated by live band Pure Musiq who kept the energies high and alive. (For live band booking, please contact mtingram@gmail.com).

Once Richards hit the stage, all in attendance quickly stood a stand and proceeded to groove the night away. The event continued with 98.7 Kiss FM DJ, Cocoa Chanelle, once performances were over. Overall, the Mother’s Day event was a success for each and every mother in attendance. Cocktails, food and a live band…what more could a mother ask for?
