Mixtapes
Retch is definitely bringing something with his newest project, “4LaRaza“, which dropped…RIGHT NOW. He hops on various beats that range from track such as “The Motto” to “Oldie”, and puts his own twist on it with his catchy raspy lyrics.
I.O.U. asked for your patience, and you no longer have to wait! The dynamic duo alas releases their best work yet, “Patience,” done completely at Rutgers University.
Finally the long awaited “Dreamchasers 2“, hosted by DJ Drama is here. The mixtape is exactly what anyone would expect from Meek Mill with bar for bar greatness over equally as awesome beats.
Here is Jim Jones second installment titled, Vampire Life 2: F.E.A.S.T. (The Last Supper). We were in attendance for his release party for the mixtape which you can catch Watch Here.
Frank Ramz‘ Quite Frankly has finally arrived. Working with Ramz over the past few years has given me a lot of insight into what he’s all about, and one of the things that stands out most is integrity.
Hi Guys’ “Club 4.20” is just a feel good, chill and spark type of mixtape. Every track is smooth all around, and honestly my head didn’t stop bobbin’ up until the very last track. My personal favorites are definitely “E&J and Apple Juice” and “Jane”, which just so happens to be the obvious inspiration for the entire tape.
“Welcome to Ryshon Jones,” I was told. The 20-year-old emcee, reppin Philly, who seems to never sleep. (Sounds like the story of my life). After receiving critical acclaim for his previous pieces, Jones decided to put together a little something something he’d come to call “Basqui,” which he uses as a platform to mix raw beat after raw beat from the likes of those such as Thelonious Martin, Lee Bannon, Rollin Mills, Talen Ted and more.
Money Gramz releases his new mixtape “Interstate 93 (Welcome to the Jungle)” hosted by DJ CHUBBY CHUB. This Boston native definitely brings some traditional hood songs and club bangers together for us to indulge in. Although he resembles many rappers such as Jim Jones he doesn’t hesitate to make a name for himself.
Brooklyn ‘spitta’ Kris Kasanova released “=WARPAINT=” back in October of last year and I’m STILL bumping it each and every day. A lot of people have been sleeping on this man, so I suggest you jump on the wave now and be a step ahead of the rest.
Bay reppin Mistah F.A.B. is back again with his 5th installment of his “Realest Shit I Never Wrote” mixtape. F.A.B follows a simple formula here; he finds different instrumentals, and simply does his thing as he spits freestyle after freestyle.
Dwayne Bryan, better known as Shalone, recently dropped his mixtape, “See Me Coming”, and it definitely is not one to sleep on. “See Me Coming” mixes a variety of creative beats and pleasant lyrics to bring you a ‘feel good’ type of music.
This young new artist, Double, is attempting to make the ‘New Age’ of Hip Hop. His team, New Age, and him are coming out strong from Long Island, NY and introducing an interesting sound to your ears.
First and foremost, I would like to salute all the producers that contributed to BizzE BlazE’s, “Bizz-Ness Before All.” A good song is nothing without a good beat, and I was definitely hooked to every track even BEFORE the verses came in.
Mills dropped a mixtape of beats he produced himself, and with him already being both a DJ and producer, he definitely has an upper hand with a background in music. Mills brings together a compilation of movie and interview snippets and blends them with a variety of different sounds, ranging from hip-hop, to indie, to some groovy sounds, and much more.
TJ Mizell, son of the late legendary Jam Master Jay, releases his latest mixtape titled “RESPECT”. The project definitely allows Mizell to make a name for himself in the industry by mixing old classic hip hop with new electronic encouragements.
