Sporting*Goods: Alabama Wins National Title & MLB Hall Of Fame Class Of 2016

They plan was to knock me out the top of the game. But I over stand they truth is all lame – NasYou’re The Man

It’s about that time in the football season. The time when people raise up and take what is theirs or sit at the other guy becomes the man. College football crowned its top dog last night in the second installment of the College Football Playoff Final. Unlike last season where the lowest seed took home the crown this season featured top ranked Clemson and perennial power Alabama. The NFL just kicked off its championship tournament with Wild Card weekend. The weekend’s slate featured many things, but nothing worth remembering, especially if your favorite teams are the Minnesota Vikings or Cincinnati Bengals (I’m not even mentioning the Houston Texans).

Outside of the gridiron the MLB released their Hall of Fame Class of 2016 members and finally the committee hit a home run. Everyone that grew up in the 1990s is about to feel extra old this year as baseball enshrines legends Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza. Both were insanely popular in their heyday, but none more than Griffey who transcended baseball the same way Michael Jordan transcended basketball. Speaking of legends one NFL legend is set to return for perhaps one final championship push. Find out who it is and see what else went down in this edition of Sporting*Goods.
