Positivity should be whistling through the air this time of year, but this week was all about bad blood. There was no marquee boxing or mixed martial arts fight this week, but enough tension to shatter helicopter glass. The NBA is gearing up for their biggest day of the year, its Christmas showcase, and while Christmas is usually the time to be positive and giving there was few peace offerings. Rajon Rondo started his week of with a suspension after yelling some homophobic slurs at a NBA official and Dwight Howard followed that up by announcing he’s unhappy in Houston. I don’t mean to make light of either situation, but who is really surprised by any of these events?

What might surprise some folks is the sparring match that occurred during the Panthers-Giants game this past Sunday. The marquee matchup heading into the game was Odell Beckham Jr. versus Josh Norman, but most thought it would be a football showdown, not a professional wrestling match. The two engaged in such bizarre physicality that the announcers took notice and the fans were left outraged. I for one loved every minute of it, but I am also someone who misses concussion-inducing hits.

See what went down between the two rising stars and give your take and see what else went down in this edition of Sporting*Goods.
