December is off to a phenomenal start. November ended on a whimper with not much going on aside from Stephen Curry embarrassing his competition, but now Chef Curry has some company. Kevin Durant is back from injury and returning to his dominant form. LeBron James has been killing his competition since 2003, but it’s always great when he reminds us who the king is and he did that on a couple occasions this week. The overarching point is that the NBA is the best league in sports at the moment and that doesn’t look like it is changing any time soon.

While the NBA is killing their competition the league that used to be the best, the NFL, gave its best effort to make the countdown and succeeded. Thanks to the greatness of Aaron Rodgers and Odell Beckham Jr. football did not get completely kicked out of the countdown. Beckham set the tone last Sunday when he made a better catch than the one that broke the internet last year. Rodgers kept the momentum going with one of the greatest comebacks in league history, capped off with one of the best plays of his career.

See what that play was and what else made the countdown in this edition of WTF Happened In Sports This Week.
