WTF Happened In Sports This Week: Baseball Season Is Over, But Basketball Season Is Just Starting



The 2015 baseball season is finally in the books and the Kansas City Royals are the champions. The best team of the American League all season proved they were the best in the league, beating the young New York Mets, who will be back in the World Series sooner rather than later, in five games. So with that one of the more exciting baseball seasons in recent memory came to an end. What will we do during the week to hold us over to NFL Sundays now?

Watch some NBA basketball, that’s what. The 2015-16 season got underway last Tuesday and has picked up right where it left off last year. We are clearly in a golden era of basketball and the golden boy is the point guard from Golden State, Stephen Curry. Curry is averaging 37 points per game (highest in league since Michael Jordan‘s apex year in 1991-92) as he is clearly at his apex. While the rookies (Karl-Anthony Towns, Kristaps Porzingis, Jahlil Okafor, and more) have played well, and some players (Kawhi Leonard, Bradley Beal) have seriously stepped their game up.
