Woman Claims She’s Real Life ‘Cookie’ from ‘Empire’

Sophia Eggleston, a Detroit native, may be landing creators of Fox’s Empire in trouble. She claims that the character, portrayed by Taraji P. Henson, is based on her own life and filed a $300 million lawsuit against co-creator Lee Daniels and the Fox network.

Eggleston is allegedly a former “drug kingpin” who was sentenced to prison for placing a hit on a man among other drug-related activities. She wrote about her activities in a memoir entitled, The Hidden Hand and went to Los Angeles back in 2011 to meet with screenwriter Rita Miller. Miller then called her and told Eggleston that she was going to pitch her life-story as a movie or television show.

Do you think she has a chance at winning this case?
