The Weeknd Covers Billboard, Releases ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’


After some heavy teasing of Beauty Behind The MadnessThe Weeknd has finally released his sophomore album. BBTM features a slew of new tracks, including some old favorites and even a couple of insane collaborations with Lana Del Rey and Ed Sheeran. Tickets go on sale today for The Madness Tour, set to kick off in the fall, hitting 22 cities in both the U.S. and Canada.

Aside from all the ‘madness,’ The Weeknd now graces the cover of Billboard magazine where he talks about “striving to make his mother proud” and Michael Jackson’s influence on his music.

“I got emotional,” he said thinking back to the first time he read its lyrics. “It’s when I first knew I wanted to write songs.”

The Weeknd also revealed that he was a “little nervous” to jump on stage with Taylor Swift.

“When she introduced me and the whole stadium screamed their lungs out, it kind of threw me off. I did not expect that reaction.”
