We are in the heart of the dog days of August. Football training camps are in full swings at all levels and the MLB is on its home stretch of the regular season. This is the point in the season when we see a lot more dugout meltdowns and if we’re lucky maybe some brawls because who really wants to be playing baseball in August? Better yet who wants to watch baseball when football is back?
Well it’s not completely back, the preseason is a significantly inferior product and becomes a task to watch a full quarter. One person who also couldn’t last a quarter of preseason football is Robert Griffin III who got mauled by the Detroit Lions and is now contemplating playing football ever again. Okay, he’s not contemplating retirement, but he did get the sh-t knocked out of him.
