Tyrese and Kelly Rowland To Be On Season 2 of ‘Empire’

This past Thursday (July 9), Director, Lee Daniels, took to Instagram to announce that Tyrese will indeed appear on season 2 of Empire. Joining him on screen will be Taraji P. Henderson, a.k.a Cookie.

“Yes! Stop asking!!! #tyrese is coming on #empireseason2…” he wrote. Tyrese soon followed up with the post, making comments of his own. Oh he also made a reference to the movie Baby Boy, in which he starred with Henderson.

Daniels also used the announcement as an opportunity to shut down the rumors that he was leaving the show. Along with “Empire” he is also directing a Richard Pryor film.

That’s no all folks. Former Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland, is also confirmed to appear on the next season as Lucious Lyon’s mom. Fun fact, Rowland’s character is said to be based off Jay Z‘s mom.
