Yesterday (June 24) Rick Ross was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and kidnapping. Ross’ bodyguard was also arrested and charged with two out of the three crimes (battery and kidnapping). According to reports, Ross allegedly hit the groundskeeper of his Fayetteville, GA estate with a 9mm handgun, causing multiple neck and jaw injuries. The victim has reportedly “lost use of his jaw and is restricted to soft foods and liquid diet only as a result of not being able to chew food.” Ross and his bodyguard have both been denied bond.
The incident, which originally occurred June 7th, was said to happen after Ross and his bodyguard forced the groundskeeper into the home all the way into a bedroom. As of now, it is unclear what caused the event. When the police arrived to his home with arrest warrants, Ross refused to open the gate to his estate. The police then decided to instead open the gate themselves. Following this, Ross and his bodyguard were said to have not “put up a struggle or anything.”
They are said to appear before a superior court judge July 1.
