You’re never too famous for a lawsuit.

Marion “Suge” Knight, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Universal Studios are all being sued in the wrongful death of Terry Carter, the man killed near the set of the upcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton in a hit and run this past January. Carter’s widow, Lillian Carter, is accusing Universal of not having adequate security on set, due to Suge fleeing the scene after gang members enticed a fight.

In addition, she also claims that Knight, “carelessly, recklessly, violently, and negligently drove Vehicle 1 towards Bone… causing Vehicle 1 to strike Terry Carter and killing him.” Cle “Bone” Sloan was also injured in the accident. Her claims further progress as she criticizes the movie being filmed in Compton on the grounds due to the fact that Universal, “knew, or through the exercise of reasonable diligence should have known, of the long-standing tensions that had existed over the years between Dr. Dre and Suge.”

Knight would have a maximum sentence of 25 years to life, due to prior convictions.
