This is why we love Chance the Rapper.
Following the release of his free album Surf with Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment, Chance began working on another free project…only this time a live one. Yesterday (June 24) the “Lost” rapper held his first annual Teens In the Park music festival, which is a free festival designated for Chicago residents 13-24 said to include live performances, interactive activities (some of which sponsored by organizations such as Donda’s House – founded in memory of Kanye West’s late mother), and concessions. The event took place from 4-7 PM at Northerly Island.
The festival featured acts from D Low, Logan, DJ Chante, Chance the Rapper, Donnie Trumpet, and a surprise performance from Kendrick Lamar. The audience of course went wild. The California native performed hits such as “m.A.A.d city” and “I.” Talk about lucky.
