Young Thug manages to stay in the limelight through his music, fashion choices, but most recently his ongoing drama with Birdman. In an interview with NDO Radio Young Thug confirms that he is not signed or managed by Birdman.
“I have a big special deal with Atlantic and it’s going to take us around the world. And it’s only Atlantic, I’m only signed to Atlantic. Birdman is my homie. But I’m signed to Atlantic Records and YSL.” responded Young Thug when questioned about his management. Young Thug is a member of 300 Entertainment, a branch of Atlantic Records that manages artists such as Eric Bellinger and Fetty Wap as well.
Additionally, Young Thug stated that he still is plotting on naming his next project the Carter V. Thug is expected to release his first official debut album in August, supposedly to be named Hy!£UN35 (pronounced “hi-tunes”). However, he is planning to release one more mixtape before his album release.
“I’ma drop one more mixtape, probably call it Tha Carter 5 cause the original Carter 5 still ain’t came out yet, I don’t know what the f*** they doing, slow-poking, so I’ma put that m*********** out for him.”
We’ll be on the look out for the Carter V and Hy!£UN35.
