Tink Tears Up SOBs’ Stage At Hot 97’s Who’s Next Live (Photos)

It was a hot night and SOBs was ‘lit’ as Tink ripped the stage at Hot 97’s Who’s Next Live showcase. The event drew a crowd of fans, industry insiders, and music lovers alike, giving them a place to experience a few of hip hop’s hottest up and coming artists. Besides Tink, also blessing the stage were rappers Asia Sparks and Detroit Che. It was a night for the ladies.

The New Jersey raised femcee, Asia Sparks, set the tone for the night. She had the crowd hyped with her intensified performance of “Murder She Wrote,” and “Energy” as the audience  swayed their hands in the air to the slow paced track.

Following was Michigan’s Detriot Che. Notable for killing it during the BET Hip Hop Award cypher, she bought an even hotter performance to the legendary NYC venue. She had the crowd turned upside down and back again with her energy, sick beats, and impeccable rhymes.

For the grand finale: Tink. Timberland’s newest protégée captured the audience and reminded everyone why she’s up next. The Chicago emcee engaged the crowd with that Tink spunk everyone is just beginning to learn and love. The crowd roared at her every line. She opened with a few open bars and then dived into fan favorites, “Don’t Tell Nobody” and “Ratchet Commandments,” both set to appear on her debut album Think Tink. However, again, this was truly a night for the ladies. For her last song, Tink called out all the women and performed “Treat Me Like Somebody.” Afterwards, she and the crowd sung their hearts out and Tink gave a shout out to the other women that hit the stage. It was a great end to a great night as Tink exited the stage with her track “Million” playing in the background.
