Before the existence of the #FreestyleFriday wave there was simply those who had enough talent to go toe to toe in freestyle battles on the streets of their respective hoods, one of the greatest to ever do it being Biggie Smalls. His clever bars, smooth flow and quick comebacks made him gain recognition on the streets of Brooklyn around the age of 16. He felt as though he had no competitors and knew that he would be one of the best. Luckily enough for Biggie he did become one of the best and most memorable rappers of all time. He will never be forgotten and his freestyle flow can never be duplicated. Today on his birthday, May 21st, we pay homage to his Freestyle legacy and have gathered a list of some of his best freestyles.

I’m getting sick of white people calling Notorious B.I.G, Biggie Smalls. The real Biggy Smalls die in 1992.
