This probably has a lot to do with the insane recognition the action packed music video has gotten over the past couple of weeks, or maybe it’s the fact that after it’s debut at this years BBMAs, viewers became instant fans of the catchy jam.
This achievement earns Taylor her fourth No. 1 single, but even more importantly, this is Kendrick Lamar’s first time experiencing some well deserved Billboard glory. The duo even knocked Wiz Khalifa’s ‘See You Again‘ into now the No. 2 spot.
An overly excited Swift expressed her gratitude via Twitter on Wednesday, saying that having the top single with Kendrick Lamar “is too exciting for me to even process.” Hopefully there’s more glory to be had for both artists, as we are sure there is. Maybe we’ll even get another collaboration graced upon us sometime in the future.
