Kendall Jenner landed another gig and is now set to appear in the next issue of V Magazine, most recently covered by Rihanna. However, the reality star revealed in the magazine that she had trouble establishing her career in the beginning because of her association to the famous Kardashian family (the poor girl).
“You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back,” Jenner told V. “It was kind of hard because all I was doing was going on go-sees, trying my best to break into this business as a teenager. I am so grateful to Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci, Karl Lagerfeld, and Katie Grand, who took a chance on me that first season and gave me an opportunity. My parents taught me that work ethic is one of the most important keys in life, and I believe it.”
Jenner also revealed that other models were not so nice to her during New York Fashion Week and would put cigarettes out in her drink or piggy backed off of her last time to steal some of the limelight. But no harm, no foul! Because who can really complain after being featured in a Calvin Klein campaign?
