Grand Jury Indicts All Six Officers In Freddie Gray Case

Baltimore City State’s Attorney, Marilyn Mosby, announced the indictment of all six officers involved in the death of Freddie Gray, in a press conference Thursday (May 21).

Twenty-five year old Freddie Gray died on April 19, 2015 from a spinal injury acquired in police custody seven days prior. Gray’s death sparked national outrage and produced several riots and protests in Baltimore and throughout the country. The six officers, Garrett Miller, Sgt. Alcia White, Lt. Brian Rice, Caesar Goodson, Edward Nero, and William Porter face a number of charges that include involuntary manslaughter and murder.

The officers are scheduled to be arraigned on July 2nd, according to Mosby.
