Bow Wow made his announcement as the latest rapper to depart from Cash Money Records. But don’t think this is it for his music career, the rapper also informed us he will now be working closely with Jermaine Dupri and Snoop Dogg.
Bow Wow recently posted a video to his Facebook to clarify that him ending his 5 year relationship with Cash Money is not a result of bad blood. He maintains that “this is a peaceful situation”, even thanking Birdman for signing him in to begin with.
While there were no direct complaints regarding Cash Money, Birdman, or the entire situation going on with artists like Wayne or Tyga, Bow Wow does mention that he is looking forward to being his own boss. Meaning that he will be able to control when his music is released.
In case you haven’t noticed, during his time with Cash Money, Bow Wow has not yet put out a single.
“I wanna dictate when my music comes out. I’m tired of going to the studio to make records and then I listen to them. ‘Cuz they get old… I just can’t be held up by nobody. It’s as simple as that.”
The bright side to this is that the 28 year old rapper will get to team up with Jermaine Dupri, who first kicked off his music career at 5 years old, and Snoop Dogg.
“Now that I have both of them in cahoots with each other, this is only gonna make my new situation even more monumental.”
That is not all though, Bow Wow signs off his video confirming that he will be releasing a single produced by Dupri.
