A Pulp Fiction Dream, Fall Out Boy & Wiz Khalifa Team Up For Iconic ‘Uma Thurman’ Performance

The 2015 Billboard Music Awards certainly did not disappoint last night (May 17). What with Taylor Swift’s release of the highly anticipated and star studded ‘Bad Blood video and all. But how about that sick onstage collaboration with Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa? Now that was pretty sweet.

Performing their single, ‘Uma Thurman‘ off of their sixth studio album ‘American Beauty, American Psycho,’ Fall Out Boy lit up the BBMAs last night; to say the least.

So if you’ve ever seen the movie Pulp Fiction, then you’ll totally get that the entire performance was an ode to Mia Wallace’s iconic dance scene in the retro 90’s film. Mia Wallace, played by none other than actress Uma Thurman, of course. See what they did there?

Not only was Fall Out Boy’s performance a perfect representation of how the band uses their natural chemistry to present amazing live music, they also recruited Wiz Khalifa to make it ‘Golden.‘ Dressed as one of the dozen Mia Wallace dancers (minus the wig), Wiz rapped his own freestyle during an incorporated Munsters theme. The perfect compliment to the band’s high voltage anthem.

But this duo coming together was no accident, it has actually been predetermined for awhile now. Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa will be co-headlining the ‘Boys of Zummer‘ tour this upcoming season.
