Disrespect or homage? That’s the question on everyone’s mind after Young Thug revealed his cover and release date for his upcoming album titled, Carter 6an obvious snag from Lil Wayne’s album series, Tha Carter through Tha Carter V.

Young Thug and Lil’ Wayne Come Together For “Pass The Torch” In D*C

On Tuesday (April 7) Thug’s naked cover release for the album officially confirmed his controversial plans to carry out Wayne’s album title legacy.

While many fans are debating Thugger’s intentions, Weezy finally spoke out about the album and, well…he isn’t too happy about it.

Last night (April. 9) a video of Lil Wayne at a Mississippi show surfaced, where he expressed his distaste for the Atlanta rapper. He left his fans with one quick message regarding Young Thug’s forthcoming album, which is expected to drop April 17, according to a recent Instagram post.

“Before I go any further, I want y’all to do me a favor and stop listening to songs of n—as that pose naked on they motherf–king album cover”

In the past Young Thug has referred to Lil Wayne as one of his favorite rappers, so some are saying the album could be all love. However, with Birdman and Weezy’s falling out, and Thugger’s and Baby’s growing relationship, it seems there could be some major shade under wraps. What do ya’ll think?
