Back in November it was revealed that Frank Ocean, born Christopher Edwin Breaux, was attempting to legally change his name in favor of his artistic persona. Ocean’s request was denied, however, because the singer had a few unpaid tickets and a suspended driver’s license.
All problems must have been solved, because his name change was approved today (Apr. 23) in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. The singer can now legally call himself Frank Ocean.
In other news, Ocean’s highly anticipated follow-up to his 2012 album Channel Orange and a publication is coming this July.
