It’s official. Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of murder in the first-degree and sentenced to life in prison. Hernandez had been on trial after shooting 27-year-old Odin Lloyd six times on the night of June 17, 2013 in a deserted industrial park.
The rumored reason for Lloyd’s viscous slaying was that he knew too much about Hernandez’s involvement of a deadly 2012 shooting–which is going to trial in the coming days Suffolk County, Massachusetts, district attorney’s spokesman Jake Wark said.
Clearly Hernandez has a serious problem and one that can only be cured by never seeing the light of day again. The 25-year-old was a stand out tight end who had just signed a $40 million contract extension. He had the whole world in front of him. Now he will have a whole lot of bars and convicts in front of him (great choice Aaron!).
I’m relieved justice was served and a lunatic is no longer a danger to the public. Now if we could get justice for the lunatic killers that slayed Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin and Tamir Rice we’ll really be in business. A fella can dream can he?
