Kendrick Lamar will make his debut performance at the 21st annual 2015 Essence Festival from July 2nd to July 5th. The festival will also be featuring Kevin Hart, Common, Mary J. Blige, and India Arie.
I’m sure it’s safe to say that he will performing “M.A.A.D City” and “Radioactive” with hopes of giving another amazing performance similar to what we saw at the Grammys.
Lamar’s album “M.A.A.D City” sold over a million copies and was ranked as the 6th best album by Rolling Stones in 2012. Even though he didn’t take any awards home that night, Lamar’s 7 nominations proved that he is an amazing artist and that he was only getting started.
Kendrick also had the privilege of giving a short performance before the NBA Allstar Game’s slam dunk contest at the Smoothie King Center.
We are currently awaiting the release of his upcoming album reportedly titled Crooked Savant expected to drop March 2015. His latest single “The Blacker the Berry” gave us a clear picture of how passionate Kendrick is coming this time around.
