Jagged Edge Member Being Held At A County Jail For Shoving An Engagement Ring Down His Fiancé’s Throat

Nobody will be meeting Jagged Edge singer Kyle Norman at the altar in a white dress; more like down at the courthouse. Early Thursday (Jan. 29) morning the singer was arrested in his Atlanta home after police officers responded to a fight call between him and his fiancé.

“When I arrived,” the officer wrote, “I was met by the victim who was visibly shaken.”

The unidentified woman was found with a golf-ball sized welt on her forehead and told police that he threatened to kill her, punched her and choked her with a scarf and then attempted to shove their engagement ring down her throat. She told the officer Norman punched her, choked her with a scarf that she had around her neck, shoved her engagement ring down her throat, took her keys and broke her cell phone.

“She stated that she began to agree with things that he was saying in an attempt to calm him down,” the officer wrote. “While doing that he turned around and walked away inside their loft and she ran and grabbed his cell phone and was able to run outside and awake a neighbor who let her inside.”

Norman states that the fight started because he was mad about his father having cancer, but she claims that the dispute started over drinking.

Kyle Norman has been charged with aggravated assault and awaits a trail date while he remains at the Fulton County Jail.

Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan told The AJC in an email “There’s a bench warrant for criminal trespassing – damage which carries at $1,000 surety bond but he can’t leave until he is seen by a judge tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.”
