We made it through the week before the Super Bowl, congratulations. To hold us over the NFL and NHL had their All-Star games and did not disappoint in the entertainment department. Both games were close and entertaining with Team Irvin beating Team Carter in the Pro Bowl 32-28 and Team Toews edged Team Foligno 17-12 in the NHL All-Star Game—yes 17-12 in a hockey game—in the highest scoring All-Star game in league history.
In the NBA Klay Thompson’s hand might have literally caught fire against the Kings, the Heat’s Hassan Whiteside recorded a triple double in less than 30 minutes of action with a higher 2K rating as his motivation and the Pistons found out they will be without their point guard Brandon Jennings for the remainder of the season.
The UFC also had an event over the weekend that saw a major upset in the Light Heavyweight division. See what that upset was and what else made our top moments in this edition of Sporting*Goods.
