Azealia Banks Goes In On Kendrick Lamar Over Ferguson Comments

Azealia Banks was not feeling Kendrick Lamar‘s comments regarding Mike Brown and Ferguson, so she did what many have grown to expect: voice her opinion.

In an interview with Billboard that was published today, the TDE rapper said:

“I wish somebody would look in our neighborhood knowing that it’s already a situation, mentally, where it’s f***ed up. What happened to [Michael Brown] should’ve never happened. Never. But when we don’t have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within. Don’t start with just a rally, don’t start from looting—it starts from within.”

Banks took to Twitter to blast Kendrick, saying his comments were the “dumbest sh*t [she’d] ever heard a black man say.” She then proceeded to deliver a history lesson in a similar fashion to Q-Tip. Ring a bell? Check out the tweets below.
