Khary Durgans and Rome Fortune have joined forces to release the triply new music video for the track titled “Swim Team.” The single came directly off of Durgan’s six track EP that was released through HipHopDX. Also featured on the EP is the lead track “Calypso,” a collab that Durgans did with Marian Mereba.

In the song, Durgans preaches that “B***h, I’m the captain of the swim team,” solely adding to his experience as an artist working his way up to the big leagues. This project’s final outcome, however, is definitely not what Khary was expecting, that’s for sure.

Opus Proper produced the beat and it was pretty left field from what I was used to making, but it was perfect. A few months prior I had released my debut project, Love + Anchors, which was overall a pretty humble project/over looked, so I wanted to make something a lot more in your face,” the New York-based MC told FADER.

Khary laid the foundation for his career back in February when he released his 14 track debut project Love + Anchors.  His name has become interchangeable with that of Childish Gambino and Vic Mensa because of his clever wordplay and trippy music videos. Take a listen to decide for yourself.
