10. The Time Kanye Interrupted Swift’s VMA Award Acceptance
Well, that escalated rather quickly. Yikes.
During 2009 VMA’s, Swift won the award for Best Female Video. However, Kanye West rudely interrupted her acceptance speech when he confidently made his way to the stage stating Beyonce deserved the award instead. Watch as a un-bothered Swift just stands there, awkwardly (nothing new) holding the award that she received instead of Queen B.
Needless to say, that was far from her last acceptance speech for an award. In 2010 alone, Swift went on to be nominated for Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, World Music Award for World’s Best Album, Juno Award for International Album of the Year, World Music Award for World’s Best Pop/Rock Artist, Kid’s Choice Awards Favorite Song, Grammy Award for Best Country Song and the Brit Award for International Breakthrough Act.
She won the Kids’ Choice for Favorite Song and Female Singer, Teen’s Choice Award for Choice Music: Album country, People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Artist, and Grammy for Album of the Year, Best Country Album, and Best Country Song. Boom, Take that Ye’!
Not to mention she is already nominated for Song of the Year for her track “Shake It Off” for 2015 Grammy’s.
