Novemeber 21st was DJ Mister Cee’s last day on New York’s Hot 97. Mister Cee had previously resigned from the radio station in 2013 following two instances of being arrested for soliciting male prostitutes, one being an undercover New York police officer. After his initial resignation he felt as though he had let a lot of people down with his decisions, but received a great deal of support and decided to continue his career with Hot 97. Mister Cee follows Angie Martinez in being the second major radio personality to leave the station in the past months.
Mister Cee is best known for being the DJ of hip hop artist Big Daddy Kane and being the assistant executive producer for The Notorious B.I.G.’s debut album Ready to Die in 1994. He will be greatly missed and we wish him the best on his future endeavors.
