Lil Durk was arrested on November 12, 2014 in a southwest suburb of Chicago on another gun charge after he vowed back in August to “stay out of trouble.” After being arrested he stated, “I got those pipes ’cause ni**** always be tryin’ to take my bands,” as a reason why he had the weapons to begin with.
Lil Durk was on probation and appeared before a bond court last Thursday. However, he is not letting any of his legal dilemmas slow him down. He has been able to bounce back through the midst of this drama and release two new tracks, “B.O.N (Big Ol’ Ni**a)” and “I’m A Star” featuring fellow Coke Boy lieutenant, French Montana.
Lil Durk came hard on B.O.N produced by Jack Flash and DJ Bandz. Proclaiming himself as, “The King of Chicago” he talks about a range of topics from people hating on his success to his beef with Migos Gang and member of GBE – Capo saying, “I fuck with Migos, but I am not Capo”.
Since Lil Durk signing with Def Jam and teaming up with French Montana’s Coke Boys, the two have had a number of collaborations with “I’m A Star” being their latest. This track produced by deezybeatz and Mekanics, comes out guns blazing with car bumping bass line with a unique beat to complement. French adds his signature auto tuned hook to go along with Lil Durk’s hard hitting lyrics, leading to an instant radio hit in my opinion. Lil Durk’s debut album under Def Jam, “Remember My Name” is set to release in 2015, until then we have these tracks and Durk’s “Signed To The Streets” installments to hold us off.
