Iggy Azalea Might Have One More Problem If She's Married

Iggy Azalea has just found herself in the middle of another legal battle. According to TMZ, a man named Hefe Wine (also known as Maurice Williams)-yes, the same dude speculated to appear in Azalea’s rumored sextape-is filing for divorce from the rapper after what he claims was a common-law marriage. Wine states in the divorce papers that he and Azalea “agreed to be married, holding themselves out as man and wife and began residing together in the State of Texas on or about September 2008,” according to TMZ. He says they started living separately last year.

Texas is one of the few states that recognizes common-law marriage, which declares that a man and a woman who live together for any length of time are considered legally married if they agree to be married and hold themselves out to others as husband and wife.

If a judge recognizes the marriage, all of Azalea’s music during the union becomes community property, which means splitting everything up 50/50.

A representative for Iggy told TMZ she never presented herself as Hefe’s wife and never agreed to be married, and that this is all this is all just an attempt to make a quick buck.
