Young and restless Alex Wiley has become quite the force to reckon with. At only 19 years old, he is rapidly gaining attention with his sick tracks such as”Mo Purp” featuring Chance the Rapper, “Thug Angel”, and “Creepin”. He also has quite the variety of artists that he has collaborated with showing that he can adapt to just about any style that he can think of.
He grew up in Chicago where unfortunately, he did not even finish highschool; but that did not stop this young artist to find his passion in life. What started out as a group of friends recording joke songs soon turned into more than anything Alex Wiley could have expected. His work got noticed by an independent label, Closed Sessions, and was finally able to make a name for himself when he released his project Debut Wiley.
His mixtape “Village Party” was released on June 5 and has people buzzing about Wiley and his distinct style that we have not been able to see before.
“I’m just trying to find the perfect balance between being super calculating and also just doing whatever feels right in the instant,” said Wiley in an interview with Noisey.com. “I want people to have their imagination be running and working while they’re listening to my music.”
So take a listen to sit back, relax, and let the music take you on a trip of its own. Trust me, you won’t be sorry.
