Today, we had to say goodbye to rambunctious comedian, and Fashion Police star , Joan Rivers, who died at 81.

“It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother,” daughter, Melissa started off her statement. “She passed peacefully at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother. Cooper and I have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received from around the world. They have been heard and appreciated.

“My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we returning laughing soon”

Joan was hospitalized in Mt. Sinai Hospital just last week, after going in cardiac arrest. All during a normal surgery at Yorkville Endoscopy, in the Upper Eastside. She was soon put on life support and then earlier this week removed from ICU.

The spotlight is sad to see her go. Joan River’s after all said things that some wish they were brave enough to. And when others would criticize her? she would just bring it up on her talk show or even in one of her numerous best bestselling books. Don’t forget to check out Diary of a Mad Diva, which was just published this year.

To Joan, the show must always go one. Even though this is a big loss in the world of comedy,we should all “return laughing.”
