Trinidad Jame$ is releasing his debut album at no cost. That’s right it’s free! He made the announced via his Twitter yesterday, as a result of his split from Def Jam Records.

I should tell yall. I got dropped by the Label. My Album is now free. If u hear ur beat or verse on it. I hope u want dap cuz I got no money.

Def Jam signed the Atlanta rapper back in 2012, after the video for “All Gold Everything” went viral. Trinidad Jame$ dropped a few free singles shortly after and even a mixtape called 10pm. Mild just last year, but none of that could compare to the reign of the “All Gold Everything” era.

His comments made at a 2013 Brookyln show probably didn’t help him keep his, rumored, $2 million deal either. “I remember when New York rap was the shit and us ‘bamas,’ us from the South was like, ‘What the f—?’ And we just did our own thing, but now we run y’all musically. That’s crazy.” Of course there were responses from some riled up New York rappers like Maino and Papoose, who called him a “jive ass turkey.”

I guess all good things must come to an end, but this definitely isn’t the last we’ll hear from Jame$.  Be sure to keep a close eye on his Twitter account for any more releases or updates.
