Rae Sremmurd breaks down “No Flex Zone” for Tracee Ellis Ross

We caught up with the Mississippi dup Rae Sremmurd during their listening session in NYC. After being asked if they expected “No Flex Zone” to be as large of a hit as it is now, the brothers responded:

“Yeah, we definitely wasn’t joking around when we made that joint. We was trying to come up withs something that was going to be new lingo and that sh*t was successful.”

Tracee Ellis Ross, daughter of legendary songstress Diana Ross, recently posted a video reciting the lyrics to Swae and Slim’s “No Flex Zone” record. Toward the later portion of the video Tracee just looked muddled. However, Rae Sremmurd were convinced that despite Tracee’s confusion she “understood it.”

“The crazy thing is she understands it. Because the way she’s singing it. She turnt’ up with it. She SremmLife right now.”

Swae Lee took a step further and broke down the definition of “No Flex Zone” and why you should always be a trendsetter.

“You aint gotta put yourself in a box. You can just press the lines and try something new. Be a trend setter, and just be your self—everybody’s gonna love you.”
