Legendary Soul Singer Bobby Womack Passes Away At 70


The legendary Bobby Womack reportedly passed away on Friday at the age of 70. The soul singer known for classics songs such as “Across 110th Street” and “If You Think You’re Lonely Now” started his career with family in Curtis Womack and the Womack Brothers. After going solo in 1968 Womack struck gold when he released Communication in 1972, the album which featured the hit record “That’s The Way I Feel About Cha.”  In a career spanning nearly 50 years, Womack was influential in songwriting and singing style. He was recently was working on what would have been his 28th album, fittingly titled The Best Is Yet To Come.
