This is a good time for upcoming and aspiring artists, rappers, and creatives. With the power of social media and the heavy strain the world places upon them, there are a number of tools at your disposal to reach an audience and make a lot of noise. Take Ken Rebel for instance: the Brooklyn rapper has been steadily increasing his buzz through his Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram accounts where he has amassed a following that has the power to spread his work like wildfire. Rebel has been referred to as a “Tumblr Rapper” (which is pretty Disrespectful) because he’s very popular on the platform. There, you can see his images, videos, and music being reblogged by thousands and reaching a ton of new followers. Rebel is popular throughout the web not only for his musical abilities (which you are about to witness if you haven’t heard before) but also his fashion sense which is highly admired by his following.
Since dropping his first project, R.E.B.E.L., Ken has been working hard on his forthcoming project and has been collaborating with fellow New York artists like Smoke DZA. The future looks bright for Rebel, and today he releases his latest visual for the track “Hallelujah.” Head over to Vice to read his interview with them and check out the video below.
