5 Things That May Have Disappointed You In 2013

The year is over and I know it’s time to move on, but there’s just some stuff I have to get off of my chest. 2013 had it’s fair share of highlights, but at the same time there were some things that Let Jid Down. Let’s take a look at the 5 disappointments of 2013.

Detox Not Coming Out

Oh Dre, I think we’ve lost all real hope on this one. Yet the idea of an album including verses and bars from the likes of Kendrick, Drake, Wayne, and Eminem with you behind the boards keeps our hopes up.

Control Not Being Officially Released

That picture isn’t official either. What a shame that the best verse last year and arguably one of the most important verses in the past 10 years will only be limited to Youtube and Soundcloud searches and not have it’s rightful spot on an official release.

Nike Not Giving Kanye His Deal Or Releasing the Red October’s

Not music related, but this was easily set to be the biggest sneaker release of an epic year in sneakers. Keep your Gammas.

Wale Not Receiving Any Recognition For The Gifted

Give Wale his credit, he’s put out hits in “Bad” and “Clappers,” and dropped the best album of his young career. Does he have the right to be upset that he’s not getting recognition in the race for greatness as his peers soak up the juice? Yes, but going Latrell Spreewell on arguably the top publication in music and lifestyle will not get you anywhere.

No Nas and Eminem Collab Record

All these years and these two have never collaborated. It’s crazy because a collaboration between these two makes a lot of sense from a pure hip hop perspective. They do say it’s better to not have something at all than to have had and lost.

That’s going to be it for me, what are your humble opinions about things that disappointed you in 2013?
