I got a special invite to hit up Q-Tip’s monthly “OFFLINE” party over at the Irving Plaza in NYC and boy was it a jumpin’! Not quite knowing what to expect I walked through the doors hesitantly with my 7D and my good friend Daisy. However, after Friday’s experience, it’s safe to say that any party with the abstract on the 1s and 2s is a grand party. The variety in music played created the perfect blend to get the people going. I cannot thank Q enough for the nostalgic memories he brought with songs like Mary J. Blige‘s “Be Happy” and his own “Vibrant Thing.” He even payed homage to the legendary MJ with “Billie Jean,” but of course no set would be complete without some Latin loving! Q-Tip gracefully shouted out all the Latinas in the building and followed by playing some Salsa, which then really got the people going.

Needless to say, the venue was totally filled and overwhelming pleased. I even spotted Jarobi, now of evitaN, there bumpin’ to his former colleague’s blend. Overall, the vibes were great and I must say I would definitely recommend you all check out next month’s festivities. Below are a few flicks I caught of the night…my photo recap if you will. Enjoy!
