Free Global Fusion Festival Brings First Rate Performers to Philly

Philadelphia, PA – On Saturday (July 21st, 2012), the 6th annual Global Fusion Festival themed “Rhapsody” took place at the Great Plaza at Penns Landing, bringing a lineup of superstars. This festival is one of Philadelphia’s largest one-day festival running from noon-8pm. The festival celebrates Philadelphia’s African Diaspora, Hispanic, Caribbean, and Asian cultures joining together to showcase their unity on one stage.

Headliners included hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar, vocalist and song writer Elle Varner and R&B singer Luke James. In addition, performances from local talent from diverse cultures that call Philadelphia “home” were also showcased. Artist such as Philly native Cody Kahmar came to the stage and show off his talents. The event was sponsored by companies like the Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC), The Delware River WaterFront Corporation (DRWC), Peco Energy and dozens more.
